{"id":290141,"date":"2018-12-11T06:06:41","date_gmt":"2018-12-10T20:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=290141"},"modified":"2018-12-11T06:06:41","modified_gmt":"2018-12-10T20:06:41","slug":"most-head-start-double-sessions-start-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/most-head-start-double-sessions-start-today\/","title":{"rendered":"Most Head Start double sessions start today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Majority of Head Start and Early Head Start are scheduled to resume classes today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe majority of Head Start [double session] classes start [today],\u201d Public School System Early Head Start and Head Start program director Lathania Santos told Saipan Tribune yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>According to Santos, double sessions for the Chalan Kanoa Head Start center rooms B and C, Dandan Head Start, San Antonio Head Start, and Oleai Head Start centers would start their double sessions today.<\/p>\n<p>Half-day sessions for Chalan Kanoa Head Start classes for rooms A and D started yesterday from 7:30am to 11:30am, while double sessions for the Kagman Head Start and Joaquina M. Rabauliman Head Start room C proceeded with their double sessions yesterday, along with half-day sessions for Chalan Kanoa Headstart classes for rooms A and D.<\/p>\n<p>Only JMR rooms A and B along with Tanapag Head Start rooms A and B resumed full day sessions yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Early Head Start full-day sessions for Chalan Kanoa, Tanapag, Kagman, and Dandan continued yesterday as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to have our kids back,\u201d Santos told Saipan Tribune, adding that she believes families are equally excited to have their children back in school since Super Typhoon Yutu in late October. <\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026At some point we need to get back to normalcy,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was a successful first day for classes that [resumed] today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Santos explained that the Head Start and early Head Start centers did not open last Dec. 3, due to logistical issues.
