All parents and guardians are encouraged to attend this meeting. Call the school at 237-3921, 664-4100, or 664-3911 if you have any questions or concerns. (PR)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kumisi\u00f3n to host second CHamoru orthography training <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>HAG\u00c5T\u00d1A, Guam\u2014The second training session on the CHamoru language and the adopted Guam CHamoru orthography will be held at the Holiday Resort and Spa Guam today, Dec. 12, from 8am to 5pm. All participants who were registered and attended the first session on Sept. 28 are reminded to return for this second session. <\/p>\n<p>The third and final session will be scheduled in January 2019. Attendance at this Second CHamoru language training in orthography, grammar, and translation processes is a requirement for the certificate of completion as a CHamoru Language Liaison. <\/p>\n<p>Participants must bring their laptop computers, their issued Guam CHamoru Orthography booklets, and their office samples of signage, short phrases or simple directions to be completed at this session. <\/p>\n<p>Email the Commission on the CHamoru Language and the Teaching of the History and Culture of the Indigenous People of Guam at kumisionchamoru@gmail.com for any questions. (PR)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Public comment period continues for draft INRMP, environmental assessment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ASAN, Guam\u2014Joint Region Marianas reminds the community of\u00a0the 30-day public comment period concluding Dec. 13, for the draft 2018\u00a0Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan and environmental\u00a0assessment.<\/p>\n<p>In keeping with its environmental stewardship, the Navy is updating the\u00a0current 2013 INRMP to ensure that the military in the region continues to meet\u00a0its vital mission, while managing, protecting and enhancing the health of our\u00a0natural resources and ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>The new 2018 INRMP proposes to continue some existing projects from the 2013\u00a0document and introduces new projects appropriate for managing natural\u00a0resources in evolving environmental conditions and challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Those interested in learning about the Navy\u2019s plans to protect and safeguard\u00a0natural resources in Guam and the CNMI are encouraged to visit the website at\u00a0www.jrminrmp.com and download a copy of the document, or view a hard copy at\u00a0the Nieves Flores Memorial Library in Hagatna and the Dededo Library.<\/p>\n<p>Public comments should be submitted no later than Dec. 13 by email at: w-gu-navfac-ev2-gs@fe.navy.mil\u00a0or by mail.
