(UNIVERSITY OF GUAM)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The University of Guam signed a $5.4 million contract with Bascon Corp. on Nov. 29 to begin construction on the UOG School of Engineering building. <\/p>\n<p>Construction is set to begin in February with project completion expected in one year. The building will be located in front of the Agriculture &amp; Life Sciences Building.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is momentous\u2014certainly for the University of Guam, but for all of Guam and all of Micronesia,\u201d said UOG president Thomas W. Krise. \u201cOur students will be enabling the development of an area of three million square miles and half a million people. We\u2019re so pleased with this partnership of multiple entities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The building design was completed by David Hurchanik Architect LLC, and the construction will be completed by Bascon Corp.
