Roberto, who was arrested over the weekend over a domestic argument with his girlfriend at his residence in Dandan, admitted firing an unregistered shotgun three times, according to a prosecutor.<\/p>\n<p>In the government&#8217;s opposition to Roberto&#8217;s request to modify bail, assistant attorney general Eileen Escudero Wisor said the evidence against the suspect is overwhelming.<\/p>\n<p>Wisor said that Roberto admitted to firing off three live ammunition rounds with an illegal firearm in his house, without provocation, in the presence of his girlfriend.<\/p>\n<p>She said this was corroborated, with police finding a .22 caliber Ruger rifle at the crime scene and three empty shells, along with several 9mm ammunitions.<\/p>\n<p>Also, police recovered marijuana plants and paraphernalia for marijuana and methamphetamine or \u201cice,\u201d Wisor said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Commonwealth pleads with the court to recognize that a situation such as this exemplifies the meeting of the standard that is required to deny a bail modification: A danger to the community. In fact, there could rarely be a circumstance construed to be more dangerous than this to the community,\u201d Wisor said.<\/p>\n<p>Superior Court associate judge Joseph N. Camacho, however, modified the bail, placing Roberto under house arrest. Camacho said the firearm has been seized from Roberto and a subsequent search at his house yielded no other firearms.<\/p>\n<p>He allowed Roberto to post $1,000 cash and $9,000 unsecured bond.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Ferdie de la Torre Reporter Juan B.
