{"id":290775,"date":"2018-12-21T06:00:39","date_gmt":"2018-12-20T20:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=290775"},"modified":"2018-12-21T06:00:39","modified_gmt":"2018-12-20T20:00:39","slug":"chc-pediatric-ward-gets-toys-books","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/chc-pediatric-ward-gets-toys-books\/","title":{"rendered":"CHC pediatric ward gets toys, books"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Commonwealth Health Center\u2019s pediatric ward received 10 toys and 35 books yesterday from a motorcycle club from Salem, Oregon, known as the Taga Riders Forever.<\/p>\n<p>Hospital administrator Jesse Tudela noted that club founders George and Terry Camacho donated similar Christmas gifts to the ward last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have been giving gifts from stateside to Saipan for many years now,\u201d Tudela said, adding that Camacho contacted him a few weeks ago to expect a package before Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe wanted to make sure that we received it and that every pediatric patient would get one,\u201d he said, adding that last year\u2019s donation from the motorcycle club has already been given to pediatric patients.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you have kids who\u2019s sick, you want to cheer them up.
