{"id":290828,"date":"2018-12-21T06:06:44","date_gmt":"2018-12-20T20:06:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=290828"},"modified":"2018-12-21T06:06:44","modified_gmt":"2018-12-20T20:06:44","slug":"cuc-repairs-reach-6-3m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/cuc-repairs-reach-6-3m\/","title":{"rendered":"CUC repairs reach $6.3M"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As of last Tuesday, the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.\u2019s expenses for restoration in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Yutu has already reached $6.3 million. <\/p>\n<p>In her presentation at the CUC board meeting last Wednesday, CUC acting chief financial officer Corina Magof\u00f1a said that Yutu expenses for October totaled $327,386, but this leaped to $3,442,792 in November, and $2,570,347 in December.<\/p>\n<p>Magof\u00f1a said this brings Yutu restoration expenses for the three-month period to a total of $6,340,525.<\/p>\n<p>She said the Federal Emergency Management Agency will reimburse all typhoon-related expenses.<\/p>\n<p>CUC\u2019s expenses were for labor, equipment rentals, fuel and diesel for vehicles, materials and supplies, repairs and maintenance, meals, generator for Tinian, submersible pump for Marianas Resort &amp; Spa, other services, and for Guam Power Authority.<\/p>\n<p>Magof\u00f1a said the actual total expenses for power, water, sewer, and administration for the month ending Nov. 30 was $6,417,896.<\/p>\n<p>She noted that, out of the $6.4 million expenses for the month of November, $4.7 million ($1.4 million for payroll and $3.3 million for operating expenses) will be reimbursed by FEMA.<\/p>\n<p>On CUC\u2019s budget overview, Magof\u00f1a said the fiscal year 2019 overall budget is $122.2 million and for the month ending Nov. 30, there is a remaining balance of $107.8 million.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As of last Tuesday, the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.\u2019s expenses for restoration in the aftermath of&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":23,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[94],"tags":[49],"class_list":["post-290828","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-headlines","tag-cuc"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/290828","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/23"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=290828"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/290828\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=290828"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=290828"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=290828"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
