The public is being warned to avoid the.<\/p>\n<p>Also, a trade-wind swell will continue to produce a high risk of rip currents along east facing reefs through at least Wednesday night, based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam.<\/p>\n<p>A beach hazards statement is now in effect through Tuesday and there is a high risk of rip currents through Wednesday night.<\/p>\n<p>The persistent trade-wind swell has pushed large numbers of Portuguese man-of-war jellyfish toward the eastern and northern shores of the Marianas. These jellyfish are seen both on the beaches and in the water. <\/p>\n<p>The trade-wind swell will also produce a high risk of rip currents along east facing reefs through at least Wednesday night. <\/p>\n<p>The public is advised to stay away from the waters and avoid touching jellyfish washed up on the beaches as this can cause extreme pain. if you are caught in a rip current, swim parallel to shore and back toward the beach when possible. Do not attempt to swim directly against a rip current. The safest course of action is to stay in shallow water near the beach.
