On the day before Christmas fortune gave to me

\nI was scheduled for surgery, my third colonoscopy
\nto be completed on the morn of Christmas Eve.<\/p>\n
Instead of down the chimney Santa\u2019s helper is going
\nup the drain pipe to check maybe cut some polyps
\nwhere all that funky waste matter has been flowing
\na place dark as the night of a total lunar eclipse.<\/p>\n
Oh boy what a present! guess its what I needed
\nit won\u2019t be Santa himself but done by young Dr. Chen
\nto his sage advice I paid attention and I heeded
\nhoped for mercy of Buddha and the wisdom of Zen.<\/p>\n
