Hocog has approved the grant of administrative leave for CNMI government employees for today, Dec. 31, 2018, starting at noon. This would allow government employees to get off work early, so they can prepare to meet the new year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we celebrate the end of 2018 and welcome the beginning of a new year, I am hereby authorizing non-critical employees\u00a0of the Commonwealth\u2019s departments and agencies to take administrative leave [today],\u201d states Hocog\u2019s memorandum.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0He acknowledged that 2018 was an eventful year for many reasons. \u201cTyphoon Mangkhut and Super Typhoon Yutu significantly changed us as a community, but the experience of this recovery has taught us to serve one another, to help each other out, and to be more resilient than before.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe promise of a new year comes an opportunity to be better versions of ourselves as we rebuild our islands. Recovery is more than just building stronger. Let us renew our bonds with one another to create a better Marianas that is dedicated to progress and committed to resiliency.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cTo our government employees, thank you all for your hard work and service to improve these islands we call home. Let us continue to rebuild our islands stronger and more resilient than ever before.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of Gov.
