The Commonwealth started off the New Year in record fashion, with four newborns helping the CNMI ring in the new year last Jan. 1. <\/p>\n

It was the third infant, however, Alei\u2019a Pangelinan, who became the official New Year baby, making her the recipient of a company\u2019s giveaway of baby products.<\/p>\n

Pangelinan is the eighth child of proud parents Rose Marie Borja and Vincent Pangelinan, who are residents of Dandan and are 33 and 37 years old, respectively. The newborn was delivered naturally at 6:25am and weighed a healthy 7.7 lbs, after only two hours of labor.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is going to learn fast,\u201d said the proud father. <\/p>\n

Vincent Pangelinan believes so since their daughter prior to Alei\u2019a was reportedly mature for her age. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe is very mature,\u201d Rose Pangelinan said of her second youngest daughter, who is 3 years old.<\/p>\n

Rose Pangelinan is a housewife; Vincent Pangelinan works at gas company IP&E.<\/p>\n

Rose Pangelinan\u2019s firstborn is now 16 years old and her first three children are boys, while the rest of her children are all girls.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am looking forward to seeing them grow up. \u2026I am looking forward to teaching them,\u201d Vincent Pangelinan said. <\/p>\n

\u201cI am looking forward to seeing them learn new things,\u201d Rose Pangelinan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a parent, we all want our children to learn good things and for them to grow up learning the ways of God and showing them love so they can share it with their siblings,\u201d Vincent Pangelinan added.<\/p>\n

Alei\u2019a, whose second name has yet to be confirmed as of publication, was delivered third in the line of four New Year babies but, her parents were the only ones who consented to have some of their information printed in the media, which is also a requirement of the MARPAC Consumer Department for their annual New Year baby gifts.<\/p>\n

This 2019, the company gave the Pangelinans several baby products such as baby wipes, sanitary napkins, air freshener, newborn baby formula, diapers, tissue and other items.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very thankful for the supplies,\u201d said Rose Pangelinan, who was nearly speechless with gratitude. <\/p>\n

\u201cAll of these is going to be useful for this little girl,\u201d she noted, adding that the couple is considering using Kate as their daughter\u2019s second name, as suggested by Vincent Pangelinan.
