{"id":291584,"date":"2019-01-10T06:00:20","date_gmt":"2019-01-09T20:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=291584"},"modified":"2019-01-10T06:00:20","modified_gmt":"2019-01-09T20:00:20","slug":"two-men-in-alleged-burglary-plead-not-guilty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/two-men-in-alleged-burglary-plead-not-guilty\/","title":{"rendered":"Two men in alleged burglary plead not guilty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two men facing charges of conspiracy, burglary, theft, and criminal mischief have pleaded not guilty to all charges.<\/p>\n<p>Demson Sachuo and Amado Kereman, both 18, through their lawyers, pleaded not guilty last Monday to four charges filed against them after an alleged burglary in Kagman 3. <\/p>\n<p>Sachuo and Kereman were arraigned last Monday in front of Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo.<\/p>\n<p>He scheduled both Sachuo and Kereman for a status conference on Feb. 11 at 9am. <\/p>\n<p>According to court information, police responded to a burglary in progress on Nov. 27, 2018, at 2:28am in Kagman 3, behind the CYC store.<\/p>\n<p>Police identified the suspects as Kereman and Sachuo.<\/p>\n<p>Kereman refused to give a statement to the police, but Sachuo allegedly admitted that it was his idea to break into a neighbor\u2019s house.<\/p>\n<p>During the preliminary hearing, it was learned that Kereman allegedly conspired with Sachuo to burglarize the neighboring home while Okaruru and Norita stayed back.<\/p>\n<p>The two other suspects, however, allegedly warned Kereman and Sachuo when flashing lights were seen from a distance.<\/p>\n<p>Sachuo told police that he and Kereman took a backpack, a small lamp, and batteries from the house.<\/p>\n<p>It was learned during the preliminary hearing that other stolen items included perfume, watches, and domino chips that have yet to be recovered.<\/p>\n<p>The stolen items came out to a sum of $1,258, excluding repairs to the burglarized home.<\/p>\n<p>Police charged the two with conspiracy, burglary, and theft and criminal mischief.<\/p>\n<p>A $20,000 cash bail was imposed on both defendants. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two men facing charges of conspiracy, burglary, theft, and criminal mischief have pleaded not guilty&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":24,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-291584","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/291584","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/24"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=291584"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/291584\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=291584"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=291584"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=291584"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
