The Superior Court found probable cause to warrant the arrest of an alleged child molester. <\/p>\n
During a preliminary hearing last Thursday, Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo found probable cause to believe that the crime of sexual assault of a minor in the second degree was committed and that Peter Aldan may have committed it. <\/p>\n
Govendo ordered 28-year-old Peter Aldan to answer to the charge made against him. <\/p>\n
An arraignment for Aldan is set for Jan. 28, 2019. <\/p>\n
Last Jan. 7, the Superior Court imposed a $10,000 bail on Aldan who is being charged with sexual assault of a minor in the second degree for allegedly sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl.<\/p>\n
Aldan was not able to post bail and remains in custody of the Department of Corrections. <\/p>\n
According to detective David Hosono\u2019s declaration, Aldan was arrested at his household after a witness reported the sexual assault.<\/p>\n
Hosono said that on Jan. 4, at about 10:22pm, police responded to a reported sexual assault of a minor complaint. At the scene, police were met with the victim\u2019s mother<\/p>\n
The mother of the victim told police that at about 9:50pm on Jan. 4, she walked past one of the bedrooms in the household and observed Aldan on the bed with the victim.<\/p>\n
The mother said that she saw Aldan pull his hand out of the victim\u2019s pants and raised her voice at Aldan asking him what he was doing.<\/p>\n
Aldan told the mother that he was not doing anything, but the victim later told her mother that Aldan touched her inappropriately.<\/p>\n
The mother said she then took her four children into their car and waited for police to arrive at the scene.<\/p>\n
The victim is a relative of Aldan\u2019s girlfriend. Aldan\u2019s girlfriend was present for Aldan\u2019s preliminary hearing last Thursday. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
