(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Northern Marianas College is asking parents of recent high school graduates to encourage their son or daughter to take advantage of the services offered at the upcoming Cash for College workshops on Rota, Saipan, and Tinian.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the workshop is to assist students and their parents to maximize scholarship opportunities that are available for those seeking a college education at NMC or at other post-secondary institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The Cash for College workshops will be held on Rota, Saipan, and Tinian on the following dates:<br \/>\n\u2022 Jan. 24 &amp; 25: Rota NMC campus, from 10am to 4pm on Jan. 24 and 8am to 12pm on Jan. 25.<br \/>\n\u2022 Jan. 26: Saipan, Buildings N and O, NMC As Terlaje campus, from 9am to 12pm.<br \/>\n\u2022 Feb. 12: Tinian NMC Campus Library, from 10:30am to 2:30pm.<\/p>\n<p>Participants of the workshop will be provided with personal, step-by-step assistance in completing college financial aid forms, focusing especially on forms like the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and application forms for CNMI Scholarship, Saipan Higher Education Financial Assistance (SHEFA) program, and other municipal scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the CNMI Scholarship Office and SHEFA program extended their application deadlines for Northern Marianas College students.<\/p>\n<p>The new deadlines for CNMI Scholarship and SHEFA are:<br \/>\n\u2022 CNMI Scholarship Application: March 1, 2019<br \/>\n\u2022 CNMI Scholarship Supporting Documents: April 15, 2019<br \/>\n\u2022 SHEFA Application Deadline: Feb. 1, 2019<br \/>\n\u2022 SHEFA Supporting Documents: April 12, 2019<\/p>\n<p>Staff members from thecollege\u2019s Office of Admissions and Records will also be present to provide information and assistance with the NMC application process.<\/p>\n<p>Individuals who participate in the Northern Marianas College\u2019s upcoming Cash for College workshops will qualify to have their NMC Spring 2019 admission application fee and placement test fees waived.
