In November 2018, GRMC was re-accredited by The Joint Commission for another three years following a three-day inspection.

Later that same month, GRMC’s laboratory received accreditation from the prestigious Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists, which the U.S. federal government recognizes as being equal-to or more-stringent-than their own inspection program.

“Passing CMS inspections and receiving TJC and CAP accreditations with no conditional findings are achievements we value. However, they are never the end goal for GRMC. In fact, we treat these surveys as catalysts for finding new opportunities for improvement,” said chief medical officer Felix T. Cabrera. “Our patients count on us to continually make strides to improve the quality of the healthcare we deliver.”

CEO and president Michael Cruz, M.D. agreed. “Achieving these important accreditations and passing inspections is critical to maintaining the public’s trust in GRMC.
