MLSC to host free probate workshops<\/strong>
\nThe Marianas Office of Micronesian Legal Services Corp. will be hosting a series of probate workshops. These are intended as community legal education to help people in the CNMI understand the probate process. The first workshop\u00a0on Rota\u00a0will be Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, at\u00a011am at the\u00a0Sinapalo Youth Center\u00a0and will focus on where to start for probate when a loved-one dies. PTSA meeting for Kagman schools<\/strong>
\nThis is to inform all parents, guardians, and the community that the Kagman cluster of schools will be having a Parents Teachers Students Association meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at 5:3pm in the Kagman High School cafeteria. Saipan chamber meeting today<\/strong>
\nThe Saipan Chamber of Commerce will hold its\u00a0February general membership meeting today, Feb. 6, at Kanoa Resort\u2019s Seaside Hall.\u00a0Guest speakers include\u00a0Commonwealth Utilities Corp. executive director Gary Camacho, who will provide updates and present short-term and long-term recovery plan, and\u00a0lawyer George Hasselback,\u00a0who will sharing his expertise on H2B visa application approvals and denials as well as its impact on the CNMI\u2019s contractor landscape.\u00a0 Lunch will be available 11:30am and the meeting will begin promptly at 12pm, led by Chamber president Velma M. Palacios. Cost is $25 for members\/$35 for non-members. The chamber will also welcome two new members: MJ Visions Inc., which does business as TopNotch and Phoenix Services Inc. USDA RD rep on island tomorrow<\/strong>
\nThe U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development representative will be on island tomorrow, Feb. 7, 2019, from 10am to 4:30pm to assist Rural Development clients. Military trainings set
\nASAN, Guam<\/strong>\u2014The U.S. Air Force and Navy will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla during the following dates and times:\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022 Feb. 6, from 12-6pm\u00a0
\n\u2022 Feb. 9-10, from 5-9pm\u00a0<\/p>\n

It is recommended the public, fishermen and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories.
\nThe general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be in a 12-nautical mile radius of the island. (PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The purpose of the emergency power interruptions is to de-energize utility lines and allow power line workers from the CUC contracting company, Primary Source Electric, to safely replace five wooden poles with concrete poles in Marpi and As Matuis villages. The emergency power interruption is part of CUC\u2019s resiliency program aimed at hardening and strengthening the CUC power distribution system that was affected by Super Typhoon Yutu.
