As for the Junior and Senior divisions, Borja added that they are still looking for a venue.

“Fortunately, for the Minors and Majors, we will be using the Capitol Hill Ballfield after the Natibu Sports Association agreed to share the field with us,” Borja said.

NSA, two weeks ago, kicked off its girls fast-pitch and boys slow-pitch league with matches being played every Saturday.

“However, for the Junior and Senior League, we’re not sure yet, as we are still trying to find a venue. Everybody knows that we can’t use the Tan Ko field (Francisco Palacios Ballfield at the Oleai Sports Complex) since it was damaged by Super Typhoon Yutu. We’re looking at alternatives, but we need to ask permission from proper authorities. We will meet again this month before making any decision,” Borja added.

For the Majors, SLLB has already received expression of interest from eight teams, while five may compete in the Minors division.

The Kagman Little Legals are the defending champions in the Majors division after winning last year’s championship against the Talaabwogh Falcons, 6-4. In the Minors division, the Kagman Marlins edged out the NSA Braves, 5-3, in the inaugural contest last year.

In the Junior League, Comets 1 took the title after dominating the Falcons in the finals, 8-1, and ending the latter’s three-year reign in the division. In the Senior League, the Falcons successfully defended their title and secured the 3-peat following a 7-4 triumph over the NSA Braves in last year’s finale.

Saipan Little League Baseball will definitely hold competition for the Minors and Majors this season….

[5

post-294000","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sports
["GET
