The CNMI Department of Labor is inviting all interested individuals to attend free Occupational Safety and Health Administration training classes starting today, Feb. 19, 2019. <\/p>\n
The classes will be taught by OSHA-authorized instructors from the University of California, San Diego. The training team will share their experience and knowledge on topics such as fall protection and demolition hazards as well as provide information on federal and state safety and health regulations.<\/p>\n
The training will take place at the Marianas Base Camp in Marpi, formerly the Mariana Resort & Spa, unless otherwise noted. See schedule of classes below for more information.<\/p>\n
– Feb. 19, 2019, 9am – 11:30am
\nTopic: Electrical\/Electrocution Hazards during Typhoon Clean-Up Operations<\/p>\n

\nTopic: Fall Protection during Typhoon Clean-Up Operations.<\/p>\n
– Feb. 26, 2019, 9am – 11:30am
\nTopic: Health and Hygiene Hazards during Typhoon Clean-up Operations. Training topics will focus on water contamination, animal and insect bites, chemical and biological concerns, and mold hazards. Emphasis on prevention through hygiene practices and respiratory protection.\u00a0<\/p>\n
– Feb. 27, 2019, 9am – 11:30am

The trainings are open to the public.
