Open auditions for new FOA production <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Friends of the Arts is scheduling its production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat\u201d for the early part of May.\u00a0All persons interested in being a part of this popular Broadway play are invited to an open audition being\u00a0held this Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2pm on the campus of Marianas High School, Room C203.\u00a0The play has many parts, including an Adult and Young People\u2019s Chorus.<\/p>\n

This is a musical with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The story is based on the \u201c coat of many colors \u201c story of Joseph from the Bible\u2019s Book of Genesis. The play was the first Lloyd Webber and Rice musical to be performed publicly.<\/p>\n

The FOA production of the musical is under the musical direction of Katie Hoyt, and the stage direction of Harold Easton.<\/p>\n

MIFICPA to host tax seminar<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Marianas Institute of Filipino CPAs and Accountants, or MIFICPA, invites the public to this year\u2019s tax seminar on March 2, 2019, from 8am to 12pm, at the Hibiscus Hall of the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan. This year\u2019s seminar will focus on tax updates for 2018\/2019, changes in tax laws and tax filing requirements, among others.<\/p>\n

The seminar will be conducted by David J. Burger, CPA , the managing partner of Burger, Comer & Magliari. <\/p>\n

The registration fee for members is $25, inclusive of membership fee, snacks and certificate of attendance. Non-members and non-accountants are also welcome for the same fee. Registration starts at 7:30am.<\/p>\n
