{"id":294786,"date":"2019-03-01T06:06:45","date_gmt":"2019-02-28T20:06:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=294786"},"modified":"2019-03-01T06:06:45","modified_gmt":"2019-02-28T20:06:45","slug":"man-pleads-not-guilty-to-knife-attack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/man-pleads-not-guilty-to-knife-attack\/","title":{"rendered":"Man pleads not guilty to knife attack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man involved in a knife attack pleaded not guilty last Monday to charges made against him. <\/p>\n<p>Mickey Ray Gogue Deleon Guerrero, 21, pleaded not guilty to the charges of assault with a dangerous weapon (domestic violence) and disturbing the peace (domestic violence) during an arraignment last Monday at the Superior Court. <\/p>\n<p>Deleon Guerrero was arrested following an incident on Oct. 2018 where he allegedly attacked another person with a knife. <\/p>\n<p>According to court information, Deleon Guerrero allegedly attacked a household member by swinging a knife at him with the intent of striking him. <\/p>\n<p>In a previous article on the Saipan Tribune, Deleon Guerrero was charged with theft and possession of methamphetamine or \u201cice\u201d back in 2016 and has been out on bail. <\/p>\n<p>Deleon Guerrero allegedly admitted to stealing a car and smoking \u201cice\u201d and owning drug paraphernalia. <\/p>\n<p>Deleon Guerrero also allegedly admitted to stealing the vehicle with another person, and recklessly driving it to elude arrest. The descriptions of the car were not indicated in the report.<\/p>\n<p>Police officer Adrian Mendiola, who stopped the car, immediately recognized the driver as it wasn\u2019t the suspect\u2019s first involvement in a theft of vehicle.
