{"id":295090,"date":"2019-03-07T06:04:24","date_gmt":"2019-03-06T20:04:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=295090"},"modified":"2019-03-07T06:04:24","modified_gmt":"2019-03-06T20:04:24","slug":"bench-warrant-out-for-man-who-had-reportedly-fled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/bench-warrant-out-for-man-who-had-reportedly-fled\/","title":{"rendered":"Bench warrant out for man who had reportedly fled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A bench warrant has been issued for a man who is believed to have fled Saipan after he failed to show up in court to face charges of theft.<\/p>\n<p>Superior Court Presiding Judge Roberto Naraja issued Monday the bench warrant of $5,000 for the arrest of Aris Maderal Olivos, 42. <\/p>\n<p>Olivos failed to appear for his arraignment last March 4. Multiple sources said that Olivos had left the island back in February after he received a penal summons that was personally delivered to him. <\/p>\n<p>Olivos allegedly robbed the Saipan Vegas Golf Resort and Slot Club of over $20,000 back in June 2018. <\/p>\n<p>It is believed that Olivos used to work at the Saipan Vegas Golf Resort and Slot Club, but the establishment has yet to confirm this with the Saipan Tribune. <\/p>\n<p>The Commonwealth, through acting chief prosecutor Heather Barcinas, asked the court to issue the bench warrant. <\/p>\n<p>According to court information, on or between May 27, 2018, and June 1, 2018, Olivos allegedly stole approximately $20,697.36 in vouchers and U.S. currency from Saipan Vegas Golf Resort &amp; Slot Club in Chalan Laulau.<\/p>\n<p>As the property stolen has a value of more than $20,000, the theft charge is punishable by a maximum 10 years imprisonment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A bench warrant has been issued for a man who is believed to have fled&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":24,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-295090","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/295090","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/24"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=295090"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/295090\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=295090"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=295090"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=295090"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
