Kagman cluster to have PTSA meeting <\/strong><\/p>\n

This is to inform all parents, guardians, and the community that the Kagman cluster of schools will be having a Parents Teachers Students Association meeting on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at 5:30pm in the Kagman Elementary School cafeteria. Class of 1981 reunion meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n

Attention to all Marianas High School Class of 1981 and off-island graduate(s) in Guam and the U.S. mainland that there will be a 1981 class reunion meeting on Thursday, March 21, 2019, starting at 6pm at the Tech-NIC Computer above Sherwin Paint across Bank of Hawaii on Middle Road. Zoning Office closed today<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Zoning Office will be closed today, March 8, 2019, from 1:30pm to 4:30pm, for staff training. Normal working hours will resume on Monday, March 11, 2019. (PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Register for NMC\u2019s spring semester<\/strong><\/p>\n

Northern Marianas College is reminding all individuals interested in furthering their education that they still have until March 23, 2019, to register for the upcoming spring semester.<\/p>\n

– Registration for ongoing and new students via Proa Portal: Ongoing until March 23, 2019<\/p>\n

– First day of classes: April 1, 2019<\/p>\n

NMC will be also having a free information session on March 21, 2019, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the college\u2019s Olympio T. Borja Library. It is open to all prospective students and interested community members. Those who would like to apply for admission or register for classes can attend the info session.<\/p>\n

Military training at old golf course <\/strong><\/p>\n

ASAN, Guam\u2014The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit will conduct training at the former Adm. Nimitz Golf Course in Barrigada today, March 8, from 6am to 11:55pm.<\/p>\n

The public should be advised that routine training often accompanied with the use of blanks can occur during training. <\/p>\n

These types of trainings are designed to enhance the readiness of military personnel. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity associated with the training. (PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHamoru commission meetings set<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Kumisi\u00f3n i Fino\u2019 CHamoru yan i Fina\u2019n\u00e5\u2019guen i Historia yan i Lina\u2019la\u2019 i Taotao T\u00e5no\u2019 (Commission on CHamoru Language and the Teaching of the History and Culture of the Indigenous People of Guam) will hold it monthly meetings on March 14 and 28, 2109, Thursdays, from 12:30pm to 3pm, in the Garden House, Plaza De Espana, Hagatna. <\/p>\n

Agenda items include but are not limited to: approval of minutes, reports from the chair, vice-chair, secretary and committee chairs, fiscal year 2019 financial matters, second set of orthography training, strategic plans and implementation updates, and Year of Indigenous Language activities. <\/p>\n

Work sessions will also be held on Thursday, March 7 and 21, 2019, 12:30pm \u2013 3pm at the same venue. <\/p>\n

Military trainings set<\/strong><\/p>\n

ASAN, Guam\u2014Military units participating in COPE North 2019 is conducting training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla until today, March 8, from 8am to 7pm.<\/p>\n

Also, Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 and the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit is conducting training at the former Adm. Nimitz Golf Course in Barrigada until today, March 8, from noon to 4pm.<\/p>\n

Military units participating in Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training 2019 will conduct training from midnight to 11:59pm, March 7-10, at Warning Area 517. <\/p>\n

It is recommended the public, fishermen and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories.<\/p>\n

The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be in a 12-nautical mile radius of the island. <\/p>\n
