A police officer has pleaded not guilty to criminal mischief after being accused of breaking the windows of gaming arcades. <\/p>\n
Vinnie Saures Inos Jr., 22, pleaded not guilty to two counts of criminal mischief filed against him by the Commonwealth. <\/p>\n
During his arraignment last Monday, Inos was represented by assistant public defendant Jean Nogues; assistant attorney general Robert Glass appeared for the government.<\/p>\n
According to police, Inos broke the windows of Orchid and Rainbow poker parlors on Sept. 12, 2018. Inos was arrested shortly after. He posted a $500 bail. He was ordered to appear in court on Sept. 24, 2018.<\/p>\n
At the Sept. 24, 2018 hearing, the Office of the Attorney General reportedly failed to file a criminal complaint against Inos so the hearing was rescheduled for Oct. 15, 2018. The OAG, again, failed to provide a written criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
During the next hearing on Nov. 26, 2018, the court appointed the Public Defender\u2019s Office to represent Inos.<\/p>\n
Inos, through Nogues, objected to a third adjournment, saying the court had no jurisdiction for lack of information.<\/p>\n
On Nov. 28, 2018, the government filed the information charging Inos with two counts of criminal mischief.<\/p>\n
Nogues requested the court dismiss the charges, but Glass objected.<\/p>\n
On Jan. 28, 2019, Superior Court Presiding Judge Roberto Naraja denied the defense\u2019s motion to dismiss, but exonerated Inos\u2019 bail of $500.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
