Rex Sorensen, founder, president, and chairman of the Sorensen Media Group, passed away last Sunday. He was 73.<\/p>\n
Guam Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero and Lt. Gov. Joshua Tenorio issued the following statement: \u201cWe join the people of Guam in mourning the passing of Rex Sorensen, the pioneer and founder of talk radio on our island. I\u2019ve known Rex for many years and I always regarded him as great friend with a kind heart\u2014a businessman who always gave back to our community. His legacy is in his vision and passion for our island and region to have the best in broadcast and entertainment. I send my heartfelt condolences to Mimi and Rex\u2019s children and will be praying for them during this difficult time,\u201d said Governor Leon Guerrero. <\/p>\n
\u201cMany of our people will remember the voices behind the microphone, the moderators of our conversations, the entertainers of our time, but we will never forget the man who forged the airwaves and opened up a platform for the broadcasting legends of our island. We will always be grateful to Rex Sorensen for strengthening our bond as a community, \u201d added Tenorio. <\/p>\n
