Faced with a lack of dealers for Las Vegas Night, the Rotary Club of Saipan itself would be hosting a dealer training for the fundraiser.<\/p>\n
Rotary Club of Saipan president Greg Borja noted Tuesday that the club is looking to host a dealer training session for their members and the volunteers.<\/p>\n
The Las Vegas Night is scheduled on March 30, 2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnybody who wants to volunteer for the event and be a dealer, this is an opportunity to get training and deal blackjack, Texas hold \u2018em poker, and more games,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Craps might be a bit trickier since the complications of the game makes dealing it more challenging.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe do have some Rotarians who have experience with roulette already, so they would be on hand,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Borja noted that the Rotary finally got a response from casino operator Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC for the Las Vegas Night event, saying that it would be \u201cassisting\u201d the club with the event as much as possible. However, IPI did not commit to lending dealers, as with previous years.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey would help us mostly with technical assistance [such as] dealing,\u201d Borja said. He added that IPI would be providing the training as well as providing support with dealing craps and other games that are unfamiliar to the Rotarians.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey said they are willing to assist but, right now, [they] will be able to provide minimal support for now. Again, they are willing to try and help us out in the best way that they can,\u201d Borja said.<\/p>\n
The training is tentatively set for March 23, 2019. <\/p>\n
