Cinta M. Kaipat has resigned as a member of the Marianas Visitors Authority board of directors.<\/p>\n

MVA chair Marian Aldan-Pierce confirmed today, Thursday, that Kaipat sent her resignation letter shortly after the MVA board meeting last Tuesday.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Aldan-Pierce said she was surprised and reached out to Kaipat to find out more and that Kaipat replied that it was a personal matter that she did not wish to elaborate on.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Kaipat attended the board meeting last Tuesday\u2014the day when MVA managing director Christopher Attao Concepcion announced his resignation.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Kaipat, a former lawmaker, joined the MVA board last July after Gov. Ralph DLG. Torres appointed her to represent Saipan.<\/p>\n
