The purpose of the scheduled power interruptions is to de-energize utility lines and allow power line workers from the company Primary Source Electric to safely replace wooden poles with concrete ones. This is a continuation of CUC\u2019s ongoing restoration effort, which is aimed at hardening and strengthening the power distribution system affected by Super Typhoon Yutu.<\/p>\n
Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the working area. <\/p>\n
