Over 30 volunteers will be participating in the upcoming Las Vegas Night fundraiser of the Rotary Club of Saipan at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan.<\/p>\n
Rotary Club president Greg Borja said last Tuesday that the club is expecting over 30 volunteers to participate in their signature fundraising event on March 30, 2019.<\/p>\n
Borja noted that over 20 volunteers will be coming in from Tinian, while Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC is reportedly donating at least 10 dealers to support the games in the fundraiser.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey would be there to make sure the chips are being managed correctly during the evening,\u201d Borja said, adding that the company is also looking at sending over additional manpower to help with the event.<\/p>\n
\u201cIPI has been instrumental in\u2026terms of how we are setting up the event and getting additional skilled volunteers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The additional manpower plus some Rotarianas who have volunteered to deal during the event add up to a sizable amount of manpower for a one-night event. However, they still need more.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are always up for volunteers because some people may need a break during the evening for a chance to get up and stretch their legs, instead of just sitting down for five to six hours straight,\u201d he said, adding that those who are interested in volunteering may email rotarysaipan@gmail.com for more information.<\/p>\n
The Las Vegas Night is the Rotary Club of Saipan\u2019s largest annual fundraiser that features gambling. There would be blackjack, Texas hold\u2019em poker, baccarat, craps, roulette, and bingo.<\/p>\n
New attractions for the event include a corporate-sponsored Texas hold\u2019em poker tournament and a 3-card poker.<\/p>\n
Las Vegas Night is slated for Saturday, March 30, at the Fiesta Resort & Spa\u2019s Hibiscus Hall and Azucena Hall from 6pm to 12am. The event features a 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 or $10,000 as its grand prize; second prize of $3,000, third prize of $2,000, fourth prize of $1,000, and fifth prize of $500. There are also door prizes.<\/p>\n
Tickets may be bought from any member of the Saipan Rotary Club, at Megabyte Saipan, at the McDonald\u2019s Saipan headquarters in Dandan, and at the Northern Marianas Protection and Advocacy Systems Inc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
