{"id":296230,"date":"2019-03-27T06:06:51","date_gmt":"2019-03-26T20:06:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=296230"},"modified":"2019-03-27T06:06:51","modified_gmt":"2019-03-26T20:06:51","slug":"point-in-time-count-this-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/point-in-time-count-this-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"Point-in-Time count this weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The third annual Point-in-Time count will take place this Saturday and the CNMI Homeless Coalition is urging interested volunteers to sign up before Friday.<\/p>\n<p>According to Jacob Mu\u00f1a, Northern Marianas Housing Corp. office manager and CNMI Homeless Coalition member, the coalition is scheduled to conduct the point-in-time count on Saturday, from 7am to 7pm, and the coalition already has nearly 100 volunteers.<\/p>\n<p>However, volunteers can still sign up before Friday for a short briefing before the actual count.<\/p>\n<p>Mu\u00f1a said that skipping a count is not an option if the coalition still aims to apply for the Continuum of Care grant.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, over 1,000 individuals were considered homeless by HUD definition.
