(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MP United Football Club and Kanoa Football Club-1 rolled to their fourth straight win in the boys U15 division of the 2019 NMIFA Spring Youth League last Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center.<\/p>\n<p>Kanoa-1 kept its undefeated record after four matches following a 7-0 victory over TanHoldings FC, while MP United earned the same mark after shutting down Matansa, 3-0. Shirley\u2019s FC completed the Week 4 winners list in the division after downing Kanoa-2, 7-3.<\/p>\n<p>Three different players scored in MP United\u2019s triumph over Matansa with Justin Weaver drawing first blood in the fifth minute. Richard Castro made it a 2-0 advantage for MP United with his goal in the 30th minute, while Richard Steele closed out for the division co-leader after finding his target in the 55th.<\/p>\n<p>Three players also hit the board in Kanoa\u2019s lopsided win over TanHoldings. Jim Kurt Maniago and Jaydee Jose drilled three goals each, while Markus Toves delivered one. Jose and Maniago knocked in two apiece in the first half, while Toves also scored in the opening frame to put the game away.<\/p>\n<p>In the Shirley\u2019s-Kanoa-2 match, the former also banked on a good start to notch win No. 2. <\/p>\n<p>Shirley\u2019s opened a 4-1 halftime lead and never looked back, handing Kanoa-2 its fourth loss in as many games.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CO-ED U12 DIVISION<br \/>\nKanoa 6, TanHoldings 2<\/strong><br \/>\nKanoa is unbeaten, too in the co-ed U12 age group, bagging its fourth victory after topping TanHoldings.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Lizama towed Kanoa to the easy win after making a hat trick. He scored in the 23rd, 43rd, and 47th minute. Izeah Jolo added a pair of goals (32nd and 60th minute), while Isaiah Chargualaf contributed one.<\/p>\n<p>TanHoldings\u2019 two goals came from Jared Coby Villagmez and Andre Kaithlyn Chavez, who hit the back of the net in the 30th and 39th minute, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MP United 8, Shirley\u2019s 1<\/strong><br \/>\nMP United notched win No. 2 after whipping Shirley\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>Ian Song, Savita Sikkel, and William Sosa delivered two goals apiece for MP United, while Xavier Lee and Kelly McCallion recorded one each. MP United broke away from Shirley\u2019s in the second half, which started with the winning team ahead by only two. Shirley\u2019s avoided a shutout when Arif Khan scored in the second half.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BOYS U18 DIVISION<br \/>\nMatansa 5, Kanoa 3<\/strong><br \/>\nIn last Friday\u2019s game in the U18 division, Matansa edged Kanoa.<\/p>\n<p>Ronnel Ocanada and Razeff Altamirano teamed up in handing Matansa its second win in three games. Ocanada drilled the squad\u2019s first two goals in the first half to lead Kanoa, which got one goal in that period from Andruw Omealu.<\/p>\n<p>Omelau added one more in the 48th minute to knot the count, while Ian Karl Maniago\u2019s shot seven minutes later put Kanoa in the lead. However, Kanoa\u2019s stay on top was short-lived, as Romel Mendoza tied the match in the 56th minute, while back-to-back goals from Altamirano sealed it for Matansa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MP United 4, CNMI Boys U15 1<\/strong><br \/>\nMP United kept its perfect record after defeating the CNMI Boys U15 National Team.<\/p>\n<p>John Bucayo scored a pair of goals for the streaking MP United, while Joshua Abragan and Eun Syu Hahn chipped in one apiece.
