That is based only on the number of tickets sold, not the money from the mini-casino.

“This year was a success. We had a lot of people…that came through here and we were packed,” he said. “The space turned out great, the staff…were very helpful and…the conditions were great here.”

The Las Vegas Night was held in both the Hibiscus Hall and the Azucena Hall of the Fiesta Resort & Spa in Garapan.

“We had some new table games,” Borja said, referring to the Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament as well as three-card poker.

Borja noted that the club would know how much they raised during the one-night event this Tuesday during their weekly Rotary Club of Saipan meeting.

“This was a lot of hard work,” he said, thanking club members, the community, and Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC for providing the club with dealers.

Proceeds from the event would go to the construction of a handicap-accessible playground at the Sugar King Park.

“We would also use it for several Rotary Club of Saipan programs such as youth enrichment, developing the community, and promoting peace,” Borja said.

Romanito Militante has a pleasant choice ahead of him.
