{"id":296718,"date":"2019-04-03T06:00:01","date_gmt":"2019-04-02T20:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=296718"},"modified":"2019-04-03T06:00:01","modified_gmt":"2019-04-02T20:00:01","slug":"high-school-students-encouraged-to-join-wga-art-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/high-school-students-encouraged-to-join-wga-art-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"High school students encouraged to join WGA art contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All CNMI high school students are being encouraged to participate in this year\u2019s Western Governors\u2019 Association High School Art Competition. <\/p>\n<p>The theme of this year\u2019s WGA High School Art Competition is \u201cCelebrate the West.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Artwork should convey how the student is inspired by their state or territory. <\/p>\n<p>The contest is open to all high school students from one of the member states of the Western Governors\u2019 Association: Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Northern Mariana Islands, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible contestants must be in grades 9 to 12, enrolled in a public, private, charter or alternative school, or home schooled. Winning artists will receive cash prizes. Winning artwork will also be featured on the WGA website and displayed at an upcoming WGA meeting. <\/p>\n<p>The deadline to enter the competition is April 28, 2019.
