The Joeten Daidai Foundation, its charitable arm, announced its commitment to the 2019 Marianas March Against Cancer as a star sponsor with a $10,000 donation. Joeten has been a sponsor since the MMAC’s inception.

Patty Palacios of the Joeten Daidai Foundation said, “This foundation was established through the vision of the late businessman, Jose C. Tenorio “Joeten,” and his wife, the late Soledad T. Tenorio, “Daidai,” to fulfill their mission of continuously giving back to the community time and time again, whether through religious, educational or charitable means. We recognize that, without Joeten’s diligent staff, without our island and all of its people, we simply wouldn’t exist today.”

The donation to MMAC is made possible through the foundation’s generous affiliates such as Saipan Stevedore Co., Saipan Shipping Co., Pacifica Insurance, other notable business partners, as well as many generous individuals.

Dr. Bobby Cruz, co-chair of the MMAC Committee, said, “MMAC is exponentially blessed to have Joeten’s support. The company has been one of our most committed business partners throughout the years, serving MMAC since it began 17 years ago. Despite the continued state of recovery and the economic hardship our island is facing, Joeten has continued to make the battle against cancer a priority. We appreciate Joeten’s service-driven, people-driven mindset, and thank them for choosing to keep the fight going.”

“This is a very meaningful cause for all of us. We all know at least one person whose life has been affected by cancer, whether that person lost the battle, is currently fighting it or is a survivor. We hope that our efforts and the efforts of others will truly make a difference in people’s’ lives,” Palacios added.

MMAC Committee co-chair Carline Sablan added: “This commitment from the Joeten Daidai Foundation is more than just sponsorship of the event, but rather support for our local cancer community. We thank the foundation for stepping up to the chance to do something positive in the face of such a devastating disease. The foundation’s generosity and support of MMAC make it a true leader in the CNMI community.”

#MMAC2019 will be on May 3-4 at the Commonwealth Ports Authority field from 6pm to 6am. (PR)

Joeten celebrates its 70th anniversary of both business and philanthropy in the Marianas this year….

[4

post-296960","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news
["GET
