{"id":297124,"date":"2019-04-09T06:00:26","date_gmt":"2019-04-08T20:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=297124"},"modified":"2019-04-09T06:00:26","modified_gmt":"2019-04-08T20:00:26","slug":"red-cross-walkathon-this-saturday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/red-cross-walkathon-this-saturday\/","title":{"rendered":"Red Cross Walkathon this Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 33rd Annual American Red Cross Walkathon would be held this Saturday in Susupe to raise funds for the organization\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n<p>The event would begin at 6am starting at the Guma Sakman building in Susupe and offers 10K, 5K, and 2K courses.<\/p>\n<p>Each $20 donation gets you a T-shirt and giveaways. <\/p>\n<p>Additional giveaways such as sandwiches and refreshments are also offered to those who participate as well as a community fair, blood pressure checks, immunizations, cooking demonstrations, carnival games, face painting, bounce houses, and a fire truck and military vehicle show.<\/p>\n<p>The organization is also giving away free Pacific Islands Club Saipan waterpark passes, a $10 fuel voucher for Mobil, a $5 Arch card for McDonald\u2019s Saipan, and a F\u2019real smoothie or shake for all walkers who are able to raise $75 on their pledge forms. <\/p>\n<p>The walkathon would be held on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota. <\/p>\n<p>According to Saipan Tribune archives, over 3,000 individuals participated back in 2017, with over 2,000 participants on Saipan.
