Despite no specific dollar amount yet, proceeds from the Rotary Club of Saipan\u2019s fundraiser last Tuesday, the Las Vegas Nights, are being described as \u201clooking good.<\/p>\n
Rotary Club of Saipan vice president Brian Clayton said the Las Vegas Nights\u2019 proceeds were at about the $27,000 mark but no solid figures are ready at this time.<\/p>\n
Clayton noted that only one person is handling all the proceeds of their annual fundraiser, so the final numbers were not yet available as of publication.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a rough idea. It\u2019s about $27,000 at this point but we don\u2019t know [for sure]. \u2026The final numbers have not been tallied yet,\u201d he said, adding that the $27,000 is a mere estimate.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Las Vegas Night was a success[and] we got a great turnout,\u201d Clayton said. \u201cWe should know [how much was raised] in the next weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n
He expects it to take about two weeks before the final proceeds are announced.<\/p>\n
Club president-elect Marcia Ayuyu thanked the sponsors who donated or assisted the Rotary Club of Saipan for the event. <\/p>\n
The sponsors and donors are DFS T Galleria, Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC, Triple J Motors, Marianas Printing, Marpac, Joeten Enterprise, Yaong Corp., Herman\u2019s Modern Bakery, Laolao Bay Golf & Resort, National Office Supply, Hyatt Regency Saipan, IT&E, Blossoms Floral Shop, J\u2019s Restaurant, McDonald\u2019s Saipan, Century Tours, Let\u2019s Go Marianas, Seatouch, Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan, Megabyte Saipan, Bubba Gump, Tony Roma\u2019s, Kanoa Resort, and D&Q International Distributor. <\/p>\n
The club is also grateful to the volunteers who manned the table games. He noted during last Tuesday\u2019s club meeting that they would be coming up \u201cwith something\u201d to honor the volunteers.<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2026At this point, we are still trying to figure out how much we\u2019ll have to pay for different prizes\u2026and collecting all the tickets. Once we have all that finalized\u2026then we get the final numbers to see exactly how successful the event was,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
