National Library Week has passed. Did you hear or read Gov. Ralph DLG Torres\u2019 comments on the importance of libraries in our CNMI community? Tinian Mayor Edwin Aldan also stressed the importance of libraries as a multiple source of knowledge and education in his proclamation last Monday. Did you go to the library last week? Take your children? Have you checked out a book or used the computers there recently? Have you seen what new books and services are available? I gave a reading of my poetry at the Tinian Public Library proclamation signing last week. April is National Poetry Month. Here are sonnets by me from 2014 and 2018. Enjoy!<\/p>\n
Laughter: I am *Luftmensch<\/p>\n
I am laughter please do try poetry
\nfull of mirth merriment and beans
\nwith thought of naught but light
\nand laugh filled lilting shifting scenes
\nall directions through cerebral space
\nleading to an event horizon in reverse
\nwhere one always escapes insanity
\nthe mundane maudlin inanity or worse
\ncheck me out and have no doubt
\ncrack a smile in that face of stone
\nmomentous musical merriment to come
\nwith your friends or home alone
\nup the long ladder and down the short rope
\nstay full of laughter, loving life and hope.<\/p>\n

\non clear nights across the reef
\nJupiter shines on tranquil water
\ntonight it is clear and easy to see

\nfresh water springs bubble near the shore
