The Commonwealth Ports Authority will be able to facilitate training for airport and local firefighters throughout the Pacific region once its training facility\/burn pit, which was destroyed by Super Typhoon Yutu, becomes operational. <\/p>\n
CPA executive director Christopher S. Tenorio said Wednesday that repairs of the training facility\/burn pit are ongoing.<\/p>\n
There is no known date yet as to when the repairs would be completed.<\/p>\n
The Pacific Region ARFF\/Aviation Training Center has been a revenue-generating section of CPA since 2005. It provides training to firefighters throughout Micronesian each year.<\/p>\n
Yutu damaged the facility in October 2018.<\/p>\n
In addition to firefighting training, CPA said PRATC expanded its curriculum to include aviation courses.<\/p>\n
To date, PRATC has conducted one aviation course and is looking forward to expand its curriculum to be able to offer up to 14 courses. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
