The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. is in the midst of preparing a work plan for the agency that will guide its growth in the next five years.<\/p>\n
In fact, there is already an early draft of the plan, according to CUC executive director Gary P. Camacho last Wednesday at a CUC board meeting.<\/p>\n
Camacho disclosed in his executive report that the draft of the five-year work plan still needs refining and needs additional write-ups of project descriptions.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a lot. We have done quite a bit on the water side,\u201d Camacho said.<\/p>\n
On the electric power aspect, he said the slowed that down a bit to see first where the restoration efforts would take CUC, considering that they would soon get a supply of another thousand power poles.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat I\u2019m doing is just crossing out things,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He said that, as he had earlier mentioned, they want to make sure that they also have the figures for the cost of the list of things that they plan to do.<\/p>\n
Last March, CUC board treasurer Matthew Holley underscored the need for the agency to have a five-year plan when he made a motion to approve the renew Camacho\u2019s two-year contract as executive director. The board agreed with Holley. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
