{"id":298972,"date":"2019-05-07T06:06:34","date_gmt":"2019-05-06T20:06:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=298972"},"modified":"2019-05-07T06:06:34","modified_gmt":"2019-05-06T20:06:34","slug":"man-pleads-not-guilty-to-assault","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/man-pleads-not-guilty-to-assault\/","title":{"rendered":"Man pleads not guilty to assault"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man who allegedly sexually assaulted a minor has pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n<p>Roland Joseph Sablan, 52, pleaded not guilty yesterday to the charges of assault and battery and disturbing the peace. <\/p>\n<p>According to court information, Sablan was arrested in April for grabbing the buttocks of a 17-year-old girl without her consent on Jan 20, 2019. <\/p>\n<p>Sablan, who was found indigent because he claims he and his partner are jobless and support a family of six, was represented by assistant public defender Stephanie Boutsicaris.<\/p>\n<p>During the arraignment yesterday, the government was represented by Office of the Attorney General\u2019s assistant attorney general Robert Glass. <\/p>\n<p>Sablan was ordered to return to court on June 5 at 9am for a status conference. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man who allegedly sexually assaulted a minor has pleaded not guilty.
