One of several local Lion\u2019s Club International organizations cleaned up the Ladder Beach last Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
Nineteen members of the Saipan Alliance Lion\u2019s Cub cleaned up Ladder Beach in Obyan of trash such as plastic bottles, bags, cans, diapers, paper, and other garbage.<\/p>\n
Club vice president Bhiya Canadalla noted that the 19 members did the cleanup work from 7am to 11am. \u201cWe do this every year. This is our third year picking up trash in this area,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
She did not confirm how many pounds of trash were collected.<\/p>\n
Club president Danny Robles noted that the activity is part of the organization\u2019s mission to spread environmental awareness.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe do this community project twice a year,\u201d he told Saipan Tribune. \u201cOur next cleanup this year might be this August or October.\u201d <\/p>\n
This coming Sunday, the club would be working on a bus shelter they\u2019ve adopted in Koblerville.<\/p>\n
