Monroyo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The All Schools Track and Field Championships is one of the few successful grassroots sports programs in the CNMI, thanks to its supporters led by McDonald\u2019s Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>McDonald\u2019s has been the main corporate sponsor of the All Schools meet since 2005, helping the organizing Northern Marianas Athletes discover student-athletes who eventually represent the Commonwealth in regional and international competitions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMcDonald\u2019s has been our consistent supporter. Every year, since 2005, they are with us, giving significant contribution so that we can hold this annual event. Without our partnership with McDonald\u2019s and other sponsors, it will be very difficult to keep this program running,\u201d NMA president Ray Tebuteb said.<\/p>\n<p>Tebuteb along with NMA officials Robin Sapong and Greg Iginoef and Public School System Athletic director Nick Gross received the $3,000 check donation from McDonald\u2019s Saipan\/Guam managing director and owner Marcia Ayuyu for the All Schools meet that concluded its elementary competition last weekend and will have the middle and high school events this Friday and Saturday. The donation turnover ceremony was held last Monday at McDonald\u2019s Middle Road.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe PSS\/McDonald\u2019s All Schools is our grassroots program\u2014this is the backbone of CNMI athletics. Without this program, there won\u2019t we continuity in our development. We will not be able to send athletes to off-island competitions, so we would like to thank McDonald\u2019s and all our supporters for helping us keep and strengthen this program,\u201d the NMA head added.<\/p>\n<p>Ayuyu vowed to continue the company and his family\u2019s commitment to the All Schools event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI, my husband, and our children have a heart for a program that benefits the kids. Through this program, we are able to encourage our children to stay active and get involved in sports,\u201d Ayuyus said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s always great to see our children going out there, competing, and doing their best.
