{"id":299352,"date":"2019-05-14T06:00:56","date_gmt":"2019-05-13T20:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=299352"},"modified":"2019-05-14T06:00:56","modified_gmt":"2019-05-13T20:00:56","slug":"police-cib-reactivates-cold-case-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/police-cib-reactivates-cold-case-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Police CIB reactivates cold-case program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Criminal Investigative Bureau has reactivated its Special Homicide Activity Resolution Partnership program, with funding assistance from the Criminal Justice Planning Agency.<\/p>\n<p>The SHARP program consists of five detectives from the CIB division and was active from 2006 to 2010, which was then extended up until 2014. <\/p>\n<p>The programs goals and objectives are to reopen cold cases relating to homicide or missing person(s) cases. <\/p>\n<p>By reactivating the SHARP program, these cases get a much more robust look, and get a streamlined approach in looking into homicide cases that have gone cold.<\/p>\n<p>The program, with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and multiple agencies, was able to solve a homicide case that took place in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The program will be looking into cold cases dating back to 1977. <\/p>\n<p>It will simultaneously look into many homicide and missing person(s) cases, including the 1995 homicide case of a female found near the Marpi shoreline, the 1997 robbery homicide of Marsha Kim, the 2016 homicide of Li, Qiang Ding, and the 2014 disappearance of the Yamada sisters.<\/p>\n<p>CIB would like to encourage the public to report any information or details regarding any cold case by reaching out to Lt.
