I\u2019m going on my fourth year as DPS commissioner. This was the first problem I encountered when I first walked into this office and today, I\u2019m still facing the same problem. \u2026We haven\u2019t moved even a nail so you can see my frustration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said that disaster funds have been allocated for the reconstruction of the evidence room but nothing has been done. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s disaster money that has been there and that\u2019s what is irritating me. The money is there but nothing has progressed,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>Yet he is the one who is criticized. He pointed out that the matter is out of his hands. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s out of DPS\u2019 hands. We\u2019re not the ones contracting the contractor. We\u2019re just the recipients. That\u2019s what\u2019s so frustrating. I\u2019m not the one coordinating the construction of it yet I\u2019m the one that\u2019s being dinged for it because nothing is being done,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>Currently, the DPS fitness room has been serving as the temporary DPS evidence room.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need that [evidence room].
