The Rita Hocog Inos Jr. Sr. High School kicked off the Public School System\u2019s slew of graduations for school year 2018-2019, with 38 students in high school graduating and 39 students in middle school being promoted last May 24 at their school campus.<\/p>\n

RHI high school valedictorian Mariette Elena O. Barcinas wishes to become a high school counselor and travel the world, while high school salutatorian Rency Azil A. Camacho wishes to pursue an accounting degree.<\/p>\n

In her valedictory address, Barcinas thanked her family, friends, and teachers\u2014including RHI administrators\u2014for molding her into who she is today.<\/p>\n

Both thanked their parents for their sacrifices and support.<\/p>\n

The RHI Class of 2019 also recognized Adira M. Reyes as third honor; Jeri M. Costales as fourth honor; Francisco M. Santos Jr. as fifth honor; Asiana C. Manglona as sixth honor; Antonio C. Atalig III as seventh honor; Xanthus H. Manglona as eighth honor; Sheina P. Rangamar as ninth honor; and Allen A. Maratita as 10th honor.<\/p>\n

The Governor\u2019s Leadership Award was given to Daniel Depalog and the Outstanding Female Graduate Award and Mayor\u2019s Award was given to Barcinas, while Adina M. Reyes received the Principal\u2019s Award.<\/p>\n

In the middle school promotion, Glenda C. Valdezco was named valedictorian, while Jermain B. Yalung was named salutatorian.<\/p>\n

In her valedictorian speech, Valdezco thanked her mother.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though there are times where we don\u2019t see eye to eye, you still supported and loved me unconditionally. \u2026I love you and always remember [that], at the end of the day, I\u2019m the prettier one,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

Yalung quoted Adarsh Singh in her speech: \u201cWhile people on the first bench made notes, the people on the last bench made memories.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI too was a last bencher. Having fun, making memories, and living as a kid at the back of the class. I enjoyed every moment of it and will carry those memories beyond high school but I soon realized that that is not who I am,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
