When COP opens back up, we will move it to COP again or we might continue to host it here, we’re not sure. But we will continue this every year,” she said.

PIC general manager Gloria Cavanagh said they gladly took on the tradition when the company’s CSR asked them.

“They did not want to skip it just because the property was destroyed so, of course, we’re right here for them,” she said.

Some of the activities that PIC set up for the man’amko included ground golf and some relay games but, according to Cavanagh, the man’amko seemed more excited to swim in PIC’s many swimming pools.

Office of Aging director Walter Manglona said that, from the initial 80, about 60 man’amko showed up; some were apprehensive about the change in scenery.

“Initially, on Thursday, there was 80 of them that showed interest. Some of them were a little apprehensive because they’re not accustomed to this kind of outing,” he said.

Manglona gave thanks for E-Land’s generosity and for always thinking of ways to give back to the CNMI’s elderly.

“E-Land has been very generous with us so, regardless of where they host us, it’s the thought that they bring for our seniors and the things that they do for us always makes us happy.

“Just seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces and the excitement. We want to send a huge thank you to E-Land for always thinking about our man’amko every year,” he said.

Pacific Islands Club Saipan has taken on the Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort’s annual tradition…

[4
729,409
post-300770","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news","tag-cop","tag-pic
["GET
