The American Memorial Park Visitor Center will have extended hours during the week of June 10 to June 15.<\/p>\n
The Visitors Center is usually open from 9am to 4pm daily but, as part of the 75th anniversary of the Battles of Saipan and Tinian, it will be open from 9am until 8pm.<\/p>\n
For each day of that week, from 9am to 5pm, the AMP will be showing a series of park films. Also, the evening shows will feature films related to World War II in the Marianas.<\/p>\n

Monday, June 10, 6pm
\nAn Island Called Saipan:\u00a0American Memorial Park Film (10 minutes). This will be the first screening the new film.\u00a0Please join the park for this special showing.

Thursday, June 13, 6pm
\nMount Carmel School and D&R Visuals present the next films in the \u201cWe Drank Our Tears\u201d series, a trilogy of short films about the civilian experience of indigenous Chamorros and Carolinians during the World War II battle on Saipan.
\nAs a follow-up to last year\u2019s stories from Francisco Babauta, Benjamin Abadilla, and Rafael Mafnas, the three new films are based on stories from Carmen Acosta, Sr. Antoineta Ada, and Rosa Agulto.
\nProduced as part of the CNMI\u2019s 75th anniversary commemoration of the end of the World War II battles on the islands, the three new films will be screened after an encore screening of the original trilogy.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Friday, June 14
\nThere will be no film that evening.\u00a0Join the park and the community at the Veteran’s Memorial in Susupe at Kilili Beach for the candlelight Walk of Honor.\u00a0Sign-in for the walk\u00a0begins\u00a0at 5:30pm\u00a0and the walk will commence at\u00a06:30pm.\u00a0The Visitor Center will close at 4pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n
