(PR)<\/p>\n<p>Vote for Yvette Bennett in swimsuit tilt<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. National Miss Bikini Swimsuit &amp; Fitness Competition that Yvette Bennett has entered will be held this July 9 to 12 in Miami, Florida. She and her family are urging the CNMI to help her by voting for her for the \u201cPeople\u2019s Choice Award,\u201d which will give her additional points in the Miss Bikini Swimsuit &amp; Fitness Competition. (PR)<\/p>\n<p>Walk of honor to mark 75 years since the Battles for Saipan and Tinian<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, June 14, 2019,the Committee for the 75th\u00a0Anniversary of the Battles for Saipan and Tinian invites the community to come together on the eve of Saipan\u2019s Invasion Day to remember the sacrifices made by so many 75 years ago. Participants will be provided an LED candle (adults) or glow-in-the-dark bracelet (youth).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Registration will begin at 5:30pm at the Veterans Memorial at Kilili Beach, followed by a brief program at 6pm, and the walk at 6:30pm.\u00a0Walkers will head north along the Froilan C. Tenorio Beach Road Pathway and turn around at the Japanese tank at Quartermaster Road.\u00a0Along the way there will be water stops and activity stations. (NPS)<\/p>\n<p>Military training at Dandan, Farallon de Medinilla <\/p>\n<p>ASAN, Guam\u2014Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 will conduct training at the Dandan-Malojloj training site in Inarajan up to June 13, from 11am to 11pm. This type of training is designed to enhance the readiness of military personnel. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity associated with the training. The public should be advised that routine helicopter training often accompanied with the use of blanks can occur during training. <\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Air Force will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla during the following dates and times: <\/p>\n<p> June 12, from 8am to 9pm<\/p>\n<p> June 13, and 14, from 10:30am to 9pm <\/p>\n<p>It is recommended the public, fishermen, and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories. <\/p>\n<p>The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be within a 12- nautical mile radius of the island. (PR)<\/p>\n<p>JIL Saipan marks 22nd anniversary<\/p>\n<p>The Jesus is Lord Church Saipan is celebrating its 22nd\u00a0Anniversary on June 16, 2019, starting at 4pm, at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe, with a theme \u201cProclaiming Jesus is Lord.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s guest speaker will be Pastor Abigail Corpuz, Area Pastor of Area 5, JIL West USA supervising Hawaii, Saipan and Guam. She is visiting Saipan for the first time with her husband and daughter.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Jesus is Lord Church Saipan is located in San Vicente\/Dandan Village with over 150 members of different nationalities. Goodridge will be leading a writers\u2019 workshop on June 15, 2019, from 9am to 12pm, at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library\u2019s video teleconference room. Admission is $10 in advance, and $12 at the door\u00a0($5 for students with ID). Panuelo, in consultation with FSM Congress Speaker Wesley Simina, has decided to hold the joint inauguration ceremony on July 29, at the FSM Capitol in Palikir, Pohnpei.
