Gov. Arnold I. Palacios signed the CNMI Nurses Week proclamation last Friday morning, declaring June 9, 2019, to June 15, 2019, as CNMI Nurses Week and honoring what is considered as the nation\u2019s largest healthcare profession comprising nearly 4.1 million professional nurses in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cOn behalf of Gov. Ralph DLG Torres, we want to extend a thank you from a grateful community,\u201d Palacios said in his brief remarks. Palacios shared that he, too, can relate to the struggles of those in the medical field since he grew up in a medical family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn retrospect, really thinking about all the nurses that have taken care of the people in this community\u2026you folks are really amazing,\u201d Palacios added.<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Vinson Sablan (Ind-Saipan) noted that one week to celebrate nurses isn\u2019t enough.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026You should have a month [or a] year,\u201d he said in his remarks. \u201cThe work you [nurses] do is just superb. Society can\u2019t live without nurses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rep.
