{"id":301360,"date":"2019-06-12T06:00:25","date_gmt":"2019-06-11T20:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=301360"},"modified":"2019-06-12T06:00:25","modified_gmt":"2019-06-11T20:00:25","slug":"50k-bail-set-for-alleged-ice-trafficker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/50k-bail-set-for-alleged-ice-trafficker\/","title":{"rendered":"$50K bail set for alleged \u2018ice\u2019 trafficker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Superior Court set Monday a bail of $50,000 for a man who was allegedly caught trafficking methamphetamine or \u201cice.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo imposed a $50,000 cash bail for Fernando Cadag Jr. who was allegedly caught selling \u201cice\u201d worth $100 during a sting operation.<\/p>\n<p>Cadag\u2019s bail was initially set at $100,000 but Govendo decided against maintaining the bail, after Cadag\u2019s lawyer, chief public defender Doug Hartig, argued that Cadag was caught after a single transaction only. <\/p>\n<p>Cadag\u2019s preliminary hearing is on June 17; he will be arraigned on June 24.<\/p>\n<p>According to court information, Cadag, a Filipino male, is charged with one count of trafficking of a controlled substance.
