(MVA)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Marianas Visitors Authority joined 300 other exhibitors at Taipei Tourism Expo 2019 (TTE) on May 17-20, 2019, sharing information on The Marianas with tour operators, travel agents, travel industry professionals, and the general public.<\/p>\n<p>The international expo, held at Taipei World Trade Center, included 1,097 booths, attracted nearly 310,000 visitors, and served as a platform for tour operators, travel agents, and travel industry professionals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the MVA\u2019s sixth year to join Taipei Tourism Expo, providing us the opportunity to reach this small but active source market,\u201d said MVA managing director Priscilla Iakopo. \u201cOur both was strategically located near both the main entrance and the travel trade agent pavilion, and we maximized the opportunity to distribute information on The Marianas to generate awareness and interest among the travel industry and travelers. The end goal of our Taiwan promotions is to establish direct flights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>MVA joined the expo press conference at Ambassador Hotel on May 8, where they had a display table to distribute flyers and giveaways and provided information on The Marianas to reporters and VIPs in attendance. Joining the MVA later at its expo booth were representatives of Pacific International Travel Services, Richmond Tour, Melove Travel, and AVIS Car Rental.<\/p>\n<p>The MVA also launched its \u201cIntern to The Marianas 2019\u201d online campaign, with previous interns Sunny Lin, Sherry Lin, and Min Chen helping to recruit participants for the \u201cdream job.\u201d. The launch generated $54,000 in media coverage. The office also distributed giveaways to visitors who \u201cliked\u201d the MVA\u2019s Taiwan Facebook page.
