Pride Marianas Youth, composed of friends and families of LGBTQ+youth, would like to invite the public to the first-ever Youth Pride Walk on Friday, June 21, at the Carolinian Utt in Garapan. The event will begin at 2pm leading up to the walk at 3pm. <\/p>\n
This event, called Rainbow Walk, aims to show support for the LGBTQ+youth as well as increase awareness of the issues faced by the local LGBTQ+youth community. <\/p>\n
Before the walk begins, there will be face painting and sign-making stations for interested participants. Free \u201cPride\u201d pins will also be given to participants with other giveaways while supplies last.<\/p>\n
The walk will begin from the Carolinian Utt to the Paseo de Marianas. The Pride crosswalk\u2014the crosswalk in front of the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan and Paseo de Marianas painted in rainbow colors\u2014will be unveiled and there will be a proclamation signing at 5pm.<\/p>\n
The proclamation states that June will be considered as Pride Month.<\/p>\n
The Rainbow Walk will be the first-ever Pride crosswalk in the Marianas.<\/p>\n
The mission of Pride Marianas Youth is to \u201cspread the message of inclusivity and importance of the LGBTQ+ youth and the LGBTQ+ community. We strive to repaint the skies a more beautiful and compassionate place for all to set sail and create\u2026 a million dreams for the world we\u2019re going to make.\u201d<\/p>\n
